Privacy
NEInsider stores as little as it needs to send the morning brief, answer an advertising note, and keep the publishing desk secure.
Updated 29 October 2026.
What is stored
- Email addresses submitted to the morning brief.
- Name, email, company, and message sent through the advertising form.
- A session cookie if a producer logs into the admin desk. It is httpOnly and is not used for advertising.
What is not sold
The newsroom does not sell reader lists. Advertising is sold as placements on the site, not as a dump of email addresses.
Ads
Until an AdSense publisher id is configured, ad slots are house placeholders and do not load a third-party script. If AdSense is switched on later, Google's script loads only when a slot is near the screen. That script is covered by Google's own policy.
Theme
The light or dark choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key nei-theme. It is not sent to the server.
